Stories with Heart and Depth
Tim Simons is a writer shaped by the streets of working‑class East London and the quiet, sea‑blown edges of Suffolk. His work blends documentary realism with a deep interest in communal memory, folklore, and the emotional truths that sit beneath everyday life.
With a background in Television Production, nursing, and a Master’s in Creative Writing, Tim brings a filmmaker’s eye to the page that's attentive to rhythm, atmosphere, and the small human details that reveal a story’s heart. His writing often centres on working‑class communities, the uncanny, and the moments where ordinary lives tilt toward the extraordinary.
Tim’s writing is grounded, character‑driven, and emotionally resonant, drawing on a life lived across multiple worlds: film sets, care work, small business ownership, and the long, slow craft of turning lived experience into narrative.
He invites readers into stories where truth and imagination meet, and where every character carries a spark of the real.

The Last Witch Hunt
In 1751, in a small English village reeling from social and spiritual anxiety, a mob hunted and drowned an elderly woman named Ruth Osborne, believing she was a witch. My book, The Last Witch Hunt, is a speculative non-fiction account that uses deep archival research to resurrect this forgotten tragedy. It explores not only who Ruth was and why she was killed, but also how her killer, Thomas Colley, became the lone subject of the state’s brutal justice, revealing a community and a legal system at war with itself.
Creative Storytelling Through History
Tim Simons crafts narratives steeped in historical and social reality, giving voice to the overlooked and the misunderstood, through both speculative, fictional, and factual books, designed to engage adult readers.
